    Default 2011 Melb Champs

The schedule and structures are up but I have a complaint to make.

Why is event 1 part of an Aussie Millions series again?

This happened in the JHDSS6, but surely it was a bit of a flop. Less than $10k for first and less than $35k total prize pool. In past years I thought most event 1's got 500+ and around $15-20k for first.

Can we please up the buy in to $200 again and have a bigger prize pool for the first event.

    Couldn't we have something like:

    Event 1 - $200+40 $50k Guarantee with min $10k first

    Event 7 - $300+50 (maybe with a $200k Guarantee) 3 flights with Repechage & Re-Repechage

Not that I think 15-20% rake is fare but they seem to keep going up.

    Anyway Schedule and structures below.

Theyre committed to these deep stack series events staying in place even during most events. I dont see though why they cant alter them for the special events. It doesnt take a hit on the series and it also increases players knoweldge of the tournaments.

    Would it be hard for Crown to double everything, ie double the BI, double the ticket rake and alter the points given?;
    For example
    First/Second pay 10 points
    Third/Fourth pay 8 points
    Fifth pays 6 points
    Sixth/Sevenths pay 5 points
    etc etc
Down to 20th getting a single or 2 points?

The prizepools are bigger, the series satelite pool is bigger and it creates awareness. For the people who score, theyre going to be coming back next Sunday to keep chasing. The cons of this are, winning is a huge advantage and can guarantee a seat almost. So then lower first to 7 points and give a more even spread.

Either way, the buyin must be upped imo. It was a major flop. THey cant offer a decent strucutre because the rake is so small which is another huge deterrent

Everthing else is pretty meh, I'm interested to see how the structures play out. Ill play the main, look forward to it.

While we are on topic though, how do Crown create such terrible structures for the satelites? they are raking $20-30 from them but there are level jumpes from 300/600 to 700/1400, its absolutely absurd

Lots of low buyin garbage but thats fine to bring new players in. I like that the HA Teams, 550 PLO and 8Game are back to back leading up to the main event, I may make a quick trip down to play teams PLO 8game and the main and just skip the first week.

Pretty standard for rake to be more than 10% on tourneys with a buyin under 500 live

They're still very beatable even with the huge rake and garbage structure

Also if anyone cares Tiger has a $1 promo where you can book a return flight from Tullamarine to basically anywhere in aus running during Melb Champs dates; I booked a return flight from the Sunshine Coast for a total of $68

Yes I know Tiger sucks as an airline but at that price i'll put up with them
