Does anyone know the dates the PokerStars APPT-Melbourne package provides hotel stay for? I need to organise time off & flights, and after a week I've given up waiting for PokerStars to tell me.

I'm imagining it'd be July 27th - Aug 2nd.

It was in the auto-email sent to you when you won the satellite. If you didn't receive it you either have the 'Receive Congratulatory Emails' unticked under the 'Options' menu in the PokerStars client or it went to your junk folder.

Your hotel room is covered from July 26th til August 1st. If you make the final table you get another nights accom free of charge.

The online registration form will be sent to all package qualifiers by the end of this week.

I think its really scummy of crown to be offering phase one satelites(single table) for these at 70 bucks a pop. 10 players 1 seat to phase 2 worth 550 bucks. meaning they take 150 buck juice. 20%+

even beginner players know that this is really terrible value and a fair dinkum ripoff. surely if you need to take 150 bucks juice you're better off running 125 dollar single table sats 2 seats.

dont see how many locals and amateurs will be sateliting to the main. i doubt this event will get 300 runners.

Hopefully not a silly question, but can someone confirm for me
that events 13 ($340 NLH) and 16 ($340 PLO) are in fact, or at
least probably will be two-day events? There does not seem to
be enough hours in the day for a single-day event. If not, what
time do they expect these to end? Any thoughts? Crown?

They'll both be one days

Probably won't get more than 100 runners (PLO 60)

The $340 on a Thursday that late wont get many runners. It might get a final table the next day if it gets to the final late ( like FT starts at 3 or 4am)

Don't kid yourself by thinking that they want to put on a great tourney.

Play the $550 NLHE (event 7) instead.

Better structure and it will at least be a 2 day.

These will run well into the morning, I wish they offered final 18 or final 9 come back at 7pm the next day

I busted on the FT of the mixgame in one of the JHDS and I walked out at 4am with still 4 players left

If they insist on running these at 7:10, they should make the FT or Final 18 come back the next night
