ANZPT Repechage Less Than a Week Away

In less than a week’s time, the Crown Casino, Melbourne plays host to what should be yet another amazing Australia New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT) event.

Running from May 20 to June 3, the ANZPT Repechage features 11 official events and a plenty of satellite events too. The first of the 11 events is the $200 buy-in Opening event on May 20 and a $300 buy-in 7 Game Mixed Event follows that.

Other highlights include a Pot Limit Omaha Terminator tournament where players receive $100 for each player they eliminate, a turbo teams event, a $400 No Limit Hold’em Deepstack and a special $200 Accumulator Event that sports a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool!

The accumulator event first appeared at the recent World Series of Poker Asia Pacific where it received mainly good reviews and feedback from the players. This edition of the relatively new format should see a massive crowd participate, and they will need to if the $100,000 guarantee is to be met!

The crowning jewel for the Crown Poker Room during the ANZPT Repechage festival is its $1,100 buy-in Main Event. This special tournament carries a massive $750,000 guaranteed prize pool and that alone should be enough to attract the biggest names to the felt. In this particular repechage tournament, players can re-enter on the next available starting flight, meaning players have three chances of progressing to the official Day 2.
