Freerollin’ PokerNetwork Style: Monday 10th January

Posted at 10:39 2011-01-09

Every week we will be bringing you all the updates on exclusive PokerNetwork freeroll poker tournaments on offer for the week ahead - and let’s face it, who doesn’t like a bit of extra tango in the old skyrocket?

We may only be one week into 2011, but the poker year is already in full swing with the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) underway in the Bahamas, while final preparations are being made in Melbourne for the Aussie Millions Poker Championship in Crown Casino.

There's certainly no rest for the weekend and that includes the work that PNW have been doing behind the scenes to bring you more of our exclusive freeroll events. There's only four of them announced so far for January, but there's no shortage of cash on offer, with more than $25,000 to give away!

On Monday, the 10th of January, PokerStars kicks off the PNW Freerollin' year with a massive $15,000 Sunday Millions freeroll. If you've been grinding over Christmas (between December 1 and 31) you should have earned the 75 VPPs to qualify. From there, you'll be in the running to win either a cash prize (awarded to the top four players), or the chance to qualify for the $215 buy-in Sunday Millions event (fifth to 50th place) or the $11 Sunday Quarter-Million event (51st to 260th place). A nice way to parlay for a big payday.

PokerStars will also be hosting a $2,150 North American Poker Tour (NAPT) Monthly Freeroll on Wednesday, the 19th of January. The top 10 players in this tournament will receive a Step 4 Satellite ticket which will bring you just one step closer to playing alongside the world's best players in the NAPT! Just make sure that you download PokerStars via PNW, make a deposit and earn 35 VPPs – oh, and for this NAPT Monthly Freeroll, you must be a US-based citizen to qualify. Green cards FTW?

Winner Poker will also be hosting a $2,500 freeroll on the 19th of January, and this one is much easier to qualify for. For starters, you won't need to renounce your Aussie citizenship (though given the lacklustre performance of our Test cricket team during the Ashes … but we digress). All you'll need to do is download Winner Poker via PokerNetwork, make a deposit and earn 10 player points to “buy in”.

Finally, Lock Poker caps off the month with a huge $10,000 event on Friday, the 21st of January. This event is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated events of the month, because not only is there so much money on the line, you'll also be facing up against 25 of Lock Poker's best and brightest and with each one you eliminate, you'll receive $100 as a bounty. But wait, there's more – or should we say less, because this freeroll is a six-handed event! That's right, it's six-max maxxtreme action!

All you need to do is download Lock Poker via PNW, make a deposit and earn 50 player points to buy in. Existing PokerNetwork-referred players can also participate, provided they have the points.

We’ve also got plenty of free cash to give away, with our free $50 cash with no deposit offer with Party Poker and 888poker bringing back their $8 free cash offer for a limited time only. So if you’re looking for a great way to get your bankroll rolling then hurry to download 888poker and take advantage of this great offer.
