It was only fitting that PokerStars would announce their latest edition of the “Ladies Luxury Poker Club” in the same week as International Women's Day.
The PokerStars Luxury Ladies Poker Club is aimed at increasing the participation by women in large buy-in poker tournaments. As the name suggests, they are open to only the fairer sex.

Auckland’s SKYCITY Casino have announced an exciting new fixture to its already popular poker calendar. With the Joe Hachem Deep Stack Series proving so popular at Melbourne’s Crown Casino, Auckland have followed suit with the inaugural Lee Nelson Deep Stack Series. The budget deep-stacked series will be held from 22nd – 28th March 2010 at SKYCITY Poker which is located on Level 3 of SKYCITY Casino in Auckland.

Christchurch Casino has confirmed that 2009 Aussie Millions Champion, Stewart Scott, will be heading across the Tasman to participate in the New Zealand Poker Championships (NZPC).
Scott says he’s looking forward to touching down on kiwi turf for his second shot at the New Zealand Poker Championships title.
“The NZPC is a favourite event of mine. I am really excited to be coming back this year and catching up with all the people who enjoy the tournament as much as me”, commented Scott.

Despite being primarily known as a cash game player, David Benyamine has been crowned champion in the fourth edition of the Party Poker Premier League. For winning the league, Benyamine picked up the title and US$400,000. He was the second-most consistent player coming out of the preliminary heats picking up a win, a second and a third place finish from just four preliminary tournaments. The Frenchman would only trail the super-hot Phil Laak who crushed the heats winning three of the qualifying rounds.

The Macau Poker Cup is back for a third year with fantastic events and a huge HK$1 million prize pool guaranteed for the Red Dragon event! PokerStars Macau at Casino Grand Lisboa will once again host the series which will run from March 3rd-7th 2010.
As well as the HK$10,000 Red Dragon event, the series will also feature a bounty event, a $200,000 guaranteed No Limit Texas Hold’em event and a Deep Stack tournament. In addition there will be a charity event with $50,000 in added prize money aimed at benefitting local charities.

While the APPT Philippines event found a new home on the tropical beaches of Cebu last year, a special once off event has been announced for the capital of Manila and will fall under the APPT wing.
