After scanning the results of the recently completed ANZPT Perth one name stood out who didn’t make a splash in the main event. John Aufdemkampe had a fantastic festival cashing in three of the side events on offer.
He got off to a flyer by taking down the $500 No Limit Holdem over the opening weekend. The 87 runner field had a prize pool of $64,500 and a juicy top prize of $18,600. Aufdemkampe overcame 2008 Aussie Millions Main Event final tablist Nino Marotta in heads up.
While the second flight of the $500 tournament was been held Aufdemkampe wasn’t content to rest and he entered the $100 Pot Limit Omaha with Rebuys. Demonstrating his mixed game skills he battled through the 50 player field with 244 rebuys to come second for a $7,245 payout.
He wasn’t finished yet and he managed to take 7th in the $500 No Limit Holdem 6 Max for $1,300. While he just missed out on his third final table Aufdemkampe will be happy to walk out of the casino at the Burswood Entertainment Complex with total winnings of $27,145.
He has $39,104 of lifetime live earnings with the majority of his earnings coming with amazingly another three cash performance at the 2009 Asian Poker Tour Macau Event.
According to his PocketFives.com profile he is a Perth local and a Company Director. He also has $16,303 of online winnings and plays under the username V8XR8 on Pokerstars.com. Congratulations to John Aufdemkampe on a very successful ANZPT Perth!
