My recommendation is that Casino's use All in Buttons so that when you go all in rather than having to move your chips or risk having people not know what is going....there is a nice big redish button called All in in front of you.
anyway...just a thought.
I have used the all in button in the 2006 wsop and it was a great idea. But on a small tourny the cost of giving everyone 1 button would have to be a thing crown casino look into.
You probably wouldnt need one untill half the field was gone. Once stacks get unmanagable.

Give Playas an All In Button at the Second Color Up??
even with a all in button in place the dealer and TD's must inforce the rules.
Players should be well aware of what is happening at the table...this is part of the game - the ability to read players and know what's going on. If you do not know what is going on and make mistakes tough...something to improve on in your next game.
However...at the same time...in this example...the player has announced 'raised' and clearly not known about the all in call...so discretion can be exercised by the TD.
I agree that this ruling is wrong if the dealer has stated a player is all in before action has hit the player that announced raise to 12k (along with about a million other i've seen crown TDs make, one woman in particular)
If anything announcing 'raise' regardless of the rest of what he says should even mean he has to minreraise although thats a bit harsh. No way he should get the 12k back though, but he has the option to call the rest obviously.
Crown 2/3 dealers dont let people take their money back in cash games if theres been a raise or shove and then they put chips in the pot why should a tournament be any different
