Since sparking a nationwide poker boom in 2005 and after four incredible years as undisputed market leader for the provision of free poker in Australia, APL has unveiled plans to launch not one, but two ‘world first’ initiatives in 2010.
Looking to extend free poker’s reach throughout Australia and the world, this year will see APL launch world’s first ever online poker league in the form of the impressively sleek ClubAPL, as well as the introduction of the first ever free poker tour, the APL Poker Tour.
ClubAPL will afford poker players in every corner of the globe an opportunity to contest for life changing amounts of cash and incredible prizes from the comfort of their own home whilst the APL Poker Tour (APLPT) will see a free-to-play APL Major Event hosted in a new city every 8-12 weeks, carrying with it an estimated annual prize pool of $1.3Million.

The APLPT’s first event will take place at Star City Casino, Sydney this June with the tour making stops at Jupiter’s Casino on the Gold Coast in September and Crown Casino, Melbourne in late November.
