| 2011 11 24 08:43 am sigh, again grunter is correct. It was facetious of me to ignore the fact I've been a natural at this game from day one, and unparalleled in ability amongst the other local regs. | |
| 2011 11 24 08:16 am I wish I'd played more than 29,956 MTTs and SNGs in the last 2.5 years so I could be REALLY sure I'm legitimately beating the stakes I play. | |
| 2011 10 28 11:54 pm Man when I was first discovering poker I used to walk down from work and play the Friday night tourney in suit and tie till the early hours, drink that Wild Turkey American Honey you always had on special and eat ur cheap hotdogs..definitely one of the formative experiences of me becoming a full-time player Sad to see you having to wrap it up, gl in your future endeavours mate. | |

Re: Would you fold 33 pre here? 2011 10 19 08:53 pmWould be opening lots of hands in this spot and 33 would be one of them. Fold to the 3bet pre, calling is spew. As played, ul. Also not that it matters greatly but it would be useful to know davidov_luck's stack size, it seems to be omitted from the HH unless I'm really tired.
Re: Have I just woken up really nitty this morning? 2011 10 13 10:10 amlol, pretty sure I woke up really nitty EVERY morning in 2009, and 2010...

oh you've kinda said the same... the other thing is you need to think about how a business like this reports 'revenue', which is most likely gross deposits and ignores the fact that their real income is the rake clips they take from gross deposits for as long as that money is washed around online.
| 2011 10 02 02:45 pm hrm pretty sure this is an ICM fold pre (whether you're ahead of his range is less relevant than whether your $ expectation in the SNG improves sufficiently to offset the reduced expectation from having a shorter stack when you lose the hand, do some research on ICM). As played you can't really fold ever. | |
| 2011 09 30 11:00 am Not sure where some of you guys are coming from ITT, FSL is on the right track (imo your margin assumption is too high and re B&M casinos you're underestimating the swings that highrollers have on profits from year to year). FTPs net margins are fuck all, they're a ticket clipper business that rely on a shit ton of throughput to cover moderate fixed costs (it's not a low fixed cost business, but not a high one either). That's why these businesses go belly up when volume drops, and why the overall quality of service from the smaller players is poor. If their margins were huge you wouldn't have one clear market leader now that the industry is ex-growth without a war on rake. | |

8GB RAM Windows 7 64-bit 120GB solid state drive to run programs and OS off 1TB hard drive for other shit The overall specs are good (cost ~$1300), speed is brilliant but I have had a few hassles with the overall build. The solid state drive became corrupt so I had to get that replaced (wiping all my HEM stuff), then the RAM was faulty so had to replace that (all free, but still a hassle/downtime), now I think the solid state drive is playing up again as my old HEM database became corrupt, and Windows 7 seems to hate Skype and iTunes so it took a while to get them working as well. I appreciate that it can kind of be hit-and-miss getting custom builds and PCs are finnicky at the best of times but tbh after the amount of time I spent reading up on what problems I had I would probably consider actually buying all the parts and building it myself. There's some great magazines dedicated solely to that topic and the 2p2 computer technical support thread was great at explaining stuff...other than having to put in a bit of cooling paste around some things it seems very much just like grabbing some kind of 'custom' spec that works from a magazine then buying it and clipping it all in yourself.
| 2011 09 20 10:28 am Yeh that's way too wide mate, moffo made some good points about ppl overvaluing really weak Ax compared to hands with better equity vs calling ranges but I think u should be using like 20-23% of hands as ur assumption for villain 1 (ur at ~36%). | |
Re: WCOOP prop bets - getting the ball rolling 2011 09 15 09:00 amFor the daytime railers: Delaney, Dhingra and Neilson all still in the 1k with 31 players left
| 2011 09 12 08:53 pm His post is utterly tilting, sadly self-centred idiots are the hardest to convince otherwise and we will yet again get needless negative exposure. | |
