Mr. Ladiges made the right decision to call the TD over. Lee should not have any backlash in regards to this ruling at all. At the end of the day it is the tournament directors decision. Aren't we all told that if we have any queries or confusion whilst in play or rulings to ask the tournament director?

Did u even play in the tournament? He didn't play a dirty dirty angle he played by the rules correctly. Jackie mistakingly exposed his hand therefore mucking his hand- he gave the pot to lee by making that mistake.

Lethal I had no intention of commenting on this sad event at all until I read what I believed to be incorrect accounts of the action. My account is as best I remember it, and being less than 8 inches from the action it did resonate. As you surmize I am in Jacky's corner if only because the fruits of victory by forfeit should be like ashes in our mouth.
I was at pains not to malign Lee's character. I do not know him well yet he seemed like a likeable bloke. Having said that he did seem to me to have called the TD over with determination rather than with query and we should all be held accountable for our actions.
My intention was never to add fuel to the fire but rather to correct inaccuracies as I best recall them. Further I do not beleive anyone - player or TD - should have their character assassinated on the basis of one inopportune moment.

You are naive to think that Lee wasn't trying to gain an unfair advantage.

I am not naive. Nor do I think it was an unfair advantage. In a 250k tournament would you not try to be as advantageous as possible in your game? I don't care whetther it was 2k or 40k he had left, I would also be calling the tournament director over.
The ruling at my local npl venues is the same at every npl monthly, state and at the first fulltilt 500 played last year- if your hand is exposed out of turn at any point in the hand it is an instant muck-your hand is dead, whether or not you have a full house, quads, a royal flush I don't care, it's dead and the pot is awarded to the remaining player full stop. People who play in these tournaments should read the rules or set any queries they have straight before participating so that they do not make this unfortunate mistake. he played the right play and there is no need to call him derogatory names and labels. Put yourself in his position and be realistic- you would have done the egzact same thing he did.
