You're probably right sir! Such a shame... I guess companies such as NPL can do as they please with no repercussions whatsoever... Shame on them for bringing disrepute to the game of poker!

He asks what you have left now apparnetly 2 other people say you said "about 50k" However you say you said about 53k? I think you are saying this now to cover your arse and try to tilt the story your way so you dont look like the douche you really are. If someone says to me about 53k I am certainly not going to put in 50k and expect you to be allin if you call and I dont think Jacky would have done this either. And again if you say call to his 50k bet then push your chips in to get counted and then you get your 2.5 k back Jacky would see this return of your chips and surely not expose his hand UNLESS it goes down the way others have reported the play. I know Lawless and I have a lot of respect for him, I love his game and I know he tells it as he sees it. I spoke to him before he read this forum and simply asked him what went down with that hand and did he see it. He told me mate I was the BB and I was nearly vomiting at what happened. So with out prompting he told me basically what he posted. I have no reason not to believe him as he has this brain that can recall hands from months ago, and I always shiver as he is a fkn freak. I think you are full of shit and you are changing your story to take away your goat fucker image and as DaNRL says you are a fkn douche. I certainly belive these people over you. I know lawless is just telling his side and also is not ripping into you like we others are but like I said he tells it how he sees/saw it . |

Given that first prize was 133K in cash as well as a few entries and the overvalued car, it's hard to say that his compensation should be a value based on ICM on what chips he would've had.
I find it funny that the angling douchebag had 200K in chips or whatever it was, and only managed a min cash, way to go, spewtard

Pretty much why I never play pub poker anymore, and when I do its literally for shitz and gigglez. Atleast with this one it seems to be an honest mistake, sadly enough I've played many poker leagues(sad in itself) and the amount that have ripped off the prizepool and quite blatantly is ridiculous. Atleast APL/NPL its generally what you see is what you get. |

You have to realize that the tournament directors are not required to attend any special training and would have no idea of what the 35 rules that the NPL has posted on its site say, or have any idea of what the TDA or any of the rules for standard tournament play. It varies game to game depending on whom you happen to have as a tournament director. And there is no where they can go to check before they rule. Usually it doesn't make that much difference to the outcome of a game, so it hasn't caused them to change the way they operate. And after a quick settlement (one can only hope for J. Wang's sake involves significant cash - if not, he is a bit of a fool), I doubt it will change the way the NPL operates. Like big companies with risk management ( i.e. it will cost 40 billion to fix the problem to save 100 lives,, but only 10 billion to settle the 100 wrongful death lawsuits) they will not be much of an incentive to change the way they operate. Eventually, I suspect that either the government will ban pub poker as there is a LOT of money involved, with bigger and bigger games being set up as side games, or they will have to step in with a gaming authority of some kind to handle complaints or oversee the industry.

FTP 500 II - Jacky Wang Update
posted on the NPL site.... The National Poker League and Jacky Wang have met and positively resolved any issues arising from the FTP 500 II event held at Parramatta Leagues Club this weekend. We would ask our players not to focus on one ruling from over 25 major events the NPL have run, but to look at all the positives the FTP 500 II has brought to the poker scene in Australia. This is the biggest Pub Poker Tournament held outside of a casino in Australia, giving all Pub Poker Players a chance to play against their peers for a massive $500,000 prize pool! This tournament was put together to give our players the chance to experience big time poker tournaments and so gain the necessary experience to compete at the highest level. We thank all our players for your support of the event and we hope to see those who missed out at the next FTP 500 III in 2012. Congrats to all the players who took part in the FTP 500 II Tournament and for those who have won, enjoy the winnings!! |

If you missed this I've been advised that a link to the interview will be available in the next 24 hours... I love that they invited the villain to share his side of the story! Go for it son - tell the world your new hand technique!

I am to the understanding having spoken with Jacky that this statement is incorrect. But who am I to say? Richard from NPL called me this morning and said that I am wrong and their statement is correct... So I wait to hear a public announcement Jacky plans to make very soon... And as advised to Richard I would be more than happy to 'eat my words and post a positive blog piece for NPL' if in fact it is all sorted!
