If Im Jacky I DEMAND to speak to the head TD, if he makes the same decision I ask to see where it says so in the rules, because in every casino/card room in the world the hand plays out with the opponent having full advantage of seeing the hole cards.

27) Exposing Cards A player who exposes his cards with action pending may incur a penalty, but will not have a dead hand. The penalty will begin at the end of the hand.


Is the rule on the NPL website.


The TD was Simon Watt and the other player was Lee Ladges.

Not sure where it is at the moment but there is word he will/should be receiving some compensation.

Very harsh ruling but reading the report the other guy pushes all his chips in and and then says call?? Thats 1 movement right? so doesnt that mean there was no further action from Jacky's opponent? How can he have chips left, surely I cant move all my chips in and just say call?

Other than that Looks like ANOTHER Innisfail home game player hit a tidy sum,5th spot well done Patrick!!

Can you confirm this is the TD? FIDPA have been contacted today after they received the information yesterday and a formal request has been made to discover who the TD was.

It seems to American players have picked up on this and escalated the issue to one of the governing bodies.

I was in a tournament at Crown yesterday when Jonno came and sat down and spoke to me about this, I am afraid that this is one of the worst decisions I have ever head. It truly disgusts me and I have been in contact with a friend of Jacky's to discuss this issue further.

Never has a ruling affected the results of a tournament greater nor tarnished the reputation and damaged the hard work of so many Aussie TD's.

I can't 100% confirm it as I wasn't there. Although players who where there have told me it is.
