UBOC 6 Kicks Off

UB.com and Absolute Poker are raising the stakes of their UBOC series as it returns for its sixth edition. The next run will see 29 events across a variety of games including Texas Hold’em, Omaha, and Mixed games tourneys. While not approaching the massive guaranteed prize pools of the WCOOP and FTOPS series, the $5 million in guaranteed prize money will go a long way to putting the UBOC series on the online tournament festival map.

UBOC 6 kicks off today, January 17th and will provide a bit of variation for those who are playing both the Aussie Millions and the usual majors. Highlights of the schedule include a $2,100 NLHE High Roller event, with $750,000 in guaranteed to be in the prize pool, along with a $128,000 guaranteed $1,050 Heads-up Event on January 22nd. The UBOC 6 Main Event will also boast a $1,050 buy in and is guaranteeing at least $1 million in the prize pool.

There is even an ultra-turbo rebound event for anyone who might be looking to recoup some of their losses from the Main Event. Two and a half hours after the Main Event begins, a $320 No Limit Hold’em Deep Stack Ultra Turbo event will be run as the final tournament of UBOC 6. This tourney will play with at least $100,000 in the prize pool. It would be a nice way to bounce back from defeat in the Main Event.

UB and Absolute are running a full range of satellites for all events right now. There is also the opportunity to get in on the mini-UBOC which will see the same events run at 10% of their full UBOC 6 buy-ins.
