Dodds Chips Up

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 09 11 10:34 pm EST

Joel Dodds opened to 25,000 from middle position and Honglin Jiang made the call from the big blind.

Dodds' bet of 31,000 on the {K-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}flop was check-called by Jiang before the {Q-Spades}and {10-Spades}was checked through on the turn and river.

Jiang tabled his {6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, but it would be Dodds' {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}that would see him collect the small pot.

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 09 11 10:31 pm EST

With the action on Mathew Rolfe in the big blind, he made the call to put the Queenslander at risk.

Lindeblad: {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Rolfe: {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

The flop of {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}gave Lindeblad a straight draw to go along with his live pairs, but when the board ran out running jacks with the {J-Diamonds}and {J-Spades}, Lindeblad exited in 17th place for a $5,717 payday.

Sheldon entered the pot with a raise to 24,000 only to have Mike Ivin three-bet all in for 78,000 next to act.

Sheldon made a rather committed call and tabled his {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}to be in a race against Ivin's {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}.

With the window card landing the {6-Clubs}, Ivin exited his chair as the rest of the board filled out {6-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{10-Spades}to see the one-time chip leader eliminated in 18th place as Sheldon climbs to 395,000.
