Round and Round We Go!

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 09 11 09:24 pm EST

Not a great deal of action is taking place in the Main Event here.

One reason might be due to the fact that we are only one spot away from a pay-jump, but the other may be that the remaining nineteen players are just not catching cards.

Hopefully the action will heat up soon!

Phengsavanh Putters Out

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 09 11 09:01 pm EST

Enh Phengsavanh pushed all in for his last 73,000 from under the gun and Mathew Rolfe made the call from the big blind.

Phengsavanh: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Rolfe: {K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Unfortunately for Phengsavanh, the board ran out {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{Q-Spades}to see him bite the dust in 21st place as Rolfe climbs to nearly half a million in chips.

Lindeblad Doubles

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 09 11 08:57 pm EST

Joel Dodds opened to 22,000 only to have Stephen Lindeblad move all in for 55,000 next to act. Dodds made the call to put the Queenslander at risk.

Dodds: {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Lindeblad: {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}to see Lindeblad double though to 125,000 as Dodds slips to 240,000 in chips.

Kroesen KO'd

Written by thkcduckworth, 2010 09 11 08:52 pm EST

With the action folding to Ricky Kroesen in the small blind, he jammed his 17-big blind stack and found Eddy Hosni quick to make the call from the big blind.

Kroesen: {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Hosni: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

The flop of {A-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}left Kroesen in deep trouble, but when the {J-Hearts}landed on the turn he managed to find a few more outs with any heart keeping him alive in the tournament.

The river was red, but the wrong red as the {9-Diamonds}spiked to end Kroesen's tournament in 22nd place.
Round 18 Blinds: 5000/10000 Ante: 1000
