The PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) is now in full swing and PokerStars have decided to sweeten the incentive as they have announced a record-breaking guaranteed payout to the winner of this year’s WCOOP Main Event.
The 2010 WCOOP Main Event Champion will walk away with a guaranteed $2,000,000 payday, the largest winner’s payout for any online poker tournament anywhere in the world.
After just eight events, the PokerStars WCOOP has already given away more than $11 million in prize money with many Aussies taking advantage of the huge fields to bring home some of the loot.
This year’s WCOOP series is the biggest of all time with a schedule that features 62 individual events over 22 days. There are tournaments over many popular variations at a range of different buy-ins with a massive $50 million prize pool in total up for grabs, which makes the WCOOP the largest online poker tournament in the world. So far the guarantees for each event have all been smashed.
The WCOOP culminates in the two-day $5,200 Main Event which starts on 26 September. Last year the Main Event winner was Yevgeniy “Jovial Gent” Timoshenko, who walked away with a first prize of $1,715,200. This year’s guarantee will blow that figure away!
You can qualify for any of the WCOOP events via satellites for just a few dollars of even FPPs to give yourself a chance at a life-changing win.
